Standing is not passive

https://youtu.be/1fP9bhZxbH8…. This came across my feed this morning and wow. This makes me wonder sometimes, in the midst of our issues, my families issues and everyone else’s, if we are standing as to battle, or if we are sitting or laying and waiting for someone else to carry us? I try to do exactly that, stands still and trusting God, but I’m gonna tell ya, even as a Christian, it’s hard.

I hope for everyone who chooses to watch/listen to this, they remember that yes, God is for us and very much with us.

Ok, just needed to share this with anyone who may have needed this who follows me. Have a wonderful Tuesday. 😊😍

Another new week

Good afternoon all, so it’s another new week, how was everyone’s last week and weekend? Great I hope. My last week was, a week. Because I’ve been dealing with health issues these past few months, I’ve, thankfully got Mom transporting my kids to and from school and church and doing grocery shopping most of the time and any other appts I may have throughout the week. Tues was tolerable, Weds absolutely sucked, as did Thurs and Friday. Yesterday wasn’t too bad and today isn’t over yet but not going real great, I mean, I went to church, using earbuds and went thru the grocery store and had lunch out and dessert at Mom’s and then it’ll be relaxing at home the rest of the night.

I’ll be attempting to take part in three readathons this month, spookathon hosted by booksandlala on YouTube, nightmareathon hosted by our book club, Jacqueline wheeler and disabilityathon,I can’t remember who’s hosting that one. I know I posted last week about posting my tbr and then I had just a crappy week, and never did.

So far, my tbr starts out with

*Cross your heart and catch your death,#2 &3 in a series by kierney Scott

*Turn of the key-Ruth Ware-this one will be the audiobook

*Uncover-Amanda linehan

These are just for starters, the first two books are physical books, an audiobook an an ebook. This is it for now, have a great night all.

Catch-up

Hello friends, I’m just touching base, seeing how everybody is, I myself, am playing catch-up. Catch-up with books and shows.

In shows, I watch, I’m caught up with NCIS, I need to catch up with NCIS:LA, NCIS: New Orleans, 9-1-1, Bull, Law and Order: SVU, all three of the Chicago’s-Med, PD and fire, let’s see, there’s a few more, FBI, and more I can’t think of right now. As far as catching up with books, I’ve got four more arc’s I need to read and review right now, plus my tbr, which I haven’t fully put together fully yet. It’s the 8th of October, I’m definitely reading mystery/thrillers for this month, I’ll post again either tonight or tomorrow, my tbr pile.

For now, have a great Tuesday.😊

Her flame-Auckland steampunk first class#1 review

Hello hello, I was gifted this ebook, her flame-Auckland steampunk first class#1, by the author in return for an honest review. It took me a bit to get to this book, it wasn’t because of the format and, honestly, it wasn’t because I don’t like steampunk. Steampunk/sci-fi, is definitely not my first pick, however, because of how this started, it piqued my interest immediately, and kept me hooked.

This book started out with, then, 16yr old Bridie, and Aurelius on a dance floor, talking. Becoming husband and wife was discussed, briefly, and then it jumps to six years later, her finding out Aurelius is coming to see her, her application to MI7, being denied, yet again. To Bridie’s surprise, he’s requesting that she go with him on this mission, or”holiday”, when in actuality, it’s a MI7 mission, which also leads them to a hotel where they are also to”fix/reconcile their marriage”, which she is enlightened to just before agreeing to go with Aurelius.

I’m now done with the book, and wow. It was steamy in parts, it was who is the bad guy/good guy parts. It was short, but good, and for me, not being my first genre pick, it was good. I won’t give any more spoilers for anybody who may decide to read it.

Forget Not Praise – Pt. 1.

October 6, 2019

Psalm 103:1-5 (NIV) Praise the Lord, O my soul; all my inmost being, praise his holy name. Praise the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits —who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion, who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.

I.

Praise
Psalm 103:1 (NIV) Praise the Lord, O my soul; all my inmost being, praise his holy name.

of Praise
Psalm 100:1-4 (NIV) Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth. Worship the Lord with gladness; come before him with joyful songs. Know that the Lord is God. It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture. Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks praise; to him and praise his name.

of Praise
Psalm 100:2 (NIV) Worship the Lord with gladness; come before him with joyful songs.

• Your worship is a

Psalm 149:6 (NIV) May the praise of God be in their mouths and a double-edged sword in their hands.
Psalm 8:2 (NIV) From the lips of children and infants you have ordained praise because of your enemies, to silence the foe and the avenger.

II.

Praise
Psalm 103:2 (NIV) Praise the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits.
2 Timothy 3:1-3a (NIV) There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love.
• When you lose your worship of God, you lose your

of God.
Psalm 137:1-4;6 (NLT) Beside the rivers of Babylon, we sat and wept as we thought of Jerusalem. We put away our harps, hanging them on the branches of poplar trees. For our captors demanded a song from us. Our tormentors insisted on a joyful hymn: “Sing us one of those songs of Jerusalem!” But how can we sing the songs of the Lord while in a pagan land? May my tongue stick to the roof of my mouth if I fail to remember you, if I don’t make Jerusalem my greatest joy.
Psalm 137:8-9 (NLT) Happy is the one who pays you back for what you have done to us. Happy is the one who takes your babies and smashes them against the rocks!
Ezekiel 1:1a (NLT) While I was with the Judean exiles beside the Kebar River in Babylon, the heavens were opened and I saw visions of God.
Ezekiel 3:12;14-15 (NLT) Then the Spirit lifted me up, and I heard a loud rumbling sound behind me. (May the glory of the Lord be praised in his place!) The Spirit lifted me up and took me away. I went in bitterness and turmoil, but the Lord’s hold on me was strong. Then I came to the colony of Judean exiles in Tel-abib, beside the Kebar River. I was overwhelmed and sat among them for seven days.

Propel-women on the move

Good evening all, I was going to post this Saturday evening after the conference, but with trying to rest and relax and recoup after an awesome ladies conference, I decided I’d post it Sunday, beings how, Christine Caine, who is the founder of A21, and one of the key speakers today.

They had Bethel music there, this whole one day conference was held at our church in grand rapids, Michigan and it was absolutely awesome. I wasn’t able to tolerate much today due to the migraine I’ve been battling, but God was with me, he’s got a plan and a purpose for all of this. Part of this has got to be for me to just stop looking and longing for what used to be and keep looking and longing for what’s to come. What spoke to me, was that I’ve been looking at this whole dealing with these health issues wrong, that instead of going through them, longing and looking ahead to what’s to come, what God has in store for me, that I keep looking at what I’ve lost, who I was before all this and not at who he wants me to be and what he wants to do with and through me from here forward.

Kind of like the new me, new lifestyle, new normal. Maybe I’m supposed to be doing something, learning something based on my new normal. Looking at my health situation in a completely different light. Being a new face, an advocate, for people with invisible illnesses/diseases, or maybe help teach medical staff to completely look and think outside the box.

Due to being at the conference all day today, hubby’s procedure and other stuff going on Friday, church and shuttling mom to grocery store and back, I haven’t gotten much reading done.

I was sent, or rather gifted a review copy of her flame, in exchange for an honest review. I’m a week behind, sadly, due to other stuff coming in between me and my reading, hour I should have it done and reviewed, tentatively by Tues. I’ll be putting my review here on my blog, Goodreads and Amazon for sure. Then I’ll be on to my other reviews.

Have a great night folks and sorry this was so long.

Still fighting

Good afternoon all, it’s been an exact month since I last posted, so much for me posting weekly. Anyhow, it’s now October, cooling off here in Michigan and it’s the spooky time of the year. Yes, you guessed it, Halloween month. I have not been on much due to I’m still, continuously battling health issues that doctors are still only wanting to try throwing pills at and stopping there. I did break down and succumb to a once monthly migraine shot called Aimovig. I took the first dose Tuesday, October 1st after waiting for the insurance company and the doctor’s office to work together to fill it and I was also given 11 refills, so we’ll see how the first shot goes and I’ll do my utmost best to keep everyone updated on that.

So far, since the first shot two days ago, I’ve still got my migraine, I’m tired and I have gotten short bursts of lightheadedness that just randomly hits and then goes away. Again, it’s only the first two days, so we’ll see. God’s got a plan and a purpose for all this, just like he’s got a plan and a purpose for hubby having only two working days this week. Weds and Thurs was off due to rain and Friday will be off due to a procedure. The joys of trucker life.

I will be going to a women’s conference being held in my church on Saturday, it’s an all day event and with the way I’ve been with light and sounds lately due to my migraine, I’m hoping I tolerate it. I’ll try posting when I can, updates from the conference on Saturday. Have a blessed rest of your week folks and have a great weekend.😊
