Book review

Good evening folks, hoping everyone had a Merry Christmas and looking forward to a new year, new decade. Wow, I just said that out loud 😯 yes we are moving into a new decade, I’m looking forward to doing better and doing more in this new year, new decade.

For starters, this is one book I have finished this month. This has been a bad month for me for reading. Been battling a migraine for seven months, lightheaded and dizzy, nausea, nobody knows anything, makes it debilitating to do much, even when I force myself to try.

Check out this book on Goodreads: Clean Sweep http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/40541568-clean-sweep

The new year is less than a week away and I’m trying to list things to start doing or start doing more of, one thing is blogging, at least twice a week for starters. Reading, writing, both of which I plan to do more of here.

Ok, I’m off to go try finishing a library book. Have a wonderful New year and I’ll catch ya in the next decade. 😊

End of the year wrap up

Good afternoon folks, in the two weeks since I last posted, I’ve had a third dose of aimovig, which outside of making me lose half my hair in the past three months/doses, hasn’t done anything for my migraine or symptoms. Aimovig may be great for others with migraines, but it hasn’t done anything for me.

I went to church today, and I love our church, our worship team and our pastors, however, even with earplugs in, the praise and worship this morning, made me very lightheaded, dizzy and almost like I was gonna pass out, thankfully I didn’t though. That would’ve been awesome, seems how my hubby is not home yet, but thankfully will be for Christmas and hopefully new year’s.

I have been listening to three different audiobooks these past two weeks, I have only finished one actual book, I’ve finished a season of one of my shows, been watching Rizzoli and isles on DVD, all while hibernating myself away from life due to this stupid migraine and company. For anybody who’s never had migraines, I pray you never get them, they suck and they suck the life out of you. Doctors aren’t very helpful when it comes to trying to figure out why you have a migraine, especially for someone who’s never had a migraine in her life up until about seven months ago, when poof, it showed up and never left.

Ok, I’m done ranting, enjoy your week, Merry Christmas and Happy New year all.

Playing catch up, again

Good morning folks,I thought I did really good last month here and then life and my migraine friend jumped in and kept me from doing much. So, I’m back, hopefully, at least once a week 😊

Ok, so since last month, I haven’t read much, I’ve listened to audiobooks I’ve listened to before, I’ve nursed my migraine, dealt with Drs who only want to feed me drugs because, “there’s not an underlying cause for migraines.” Really? So, when I met with my neurologist yesterday, she, as a PA,I guess, chose not to consult with the actual Dr there but what did I know, I’m just the dumb patient who’s in pain all the time and is irritable and “noncompliant”😠😠😠😠

Anyhow, I advocated for myself and told her that I may try the third dose of aimovig and then if that still doesn’t do anything, I’m done, somebody will have to do something different. I see my gastro Dr just after Christmas, hopefully soon I’ll get some stinking answers cuz having migraines, lightheadedness, dizziness, nausea for almost six months straight beyond sucks.

Ok, enough ranting for me. Praying for you all this week, for everybody affected by winter snow, ice and frigid temps, stay warm, and stay safe. Have a great week.
