Preeclampsis

http://preeclampsia.org/PreAm

This month is preeclampsia awareness month and I am posting this article from their site because I am a child born early due to pre-e and my eldest and youngest daughter’s were pre e babies….. By the way, my eldest is 18 and graduating in a couple weeks and my youngest is almost ten and almost done with fourth grade.

I’m wanting to hear others’ pre e stories, and I also want to wish all the mommies out there a blessed happy mother’s day.

Anxiousness

Good afternoon, I’ve decided to do this post on anxiousness because I personally suffer with anxiousness quite a bit. How or why you may ask, well let me just start by saying, I’ve been taking my house hunting quite a bit seriously lately. We’ve been staying with my mother in law for just going on two years now and we are seriously looking to be out by the end of June.

I don’t deal well with change. And lately has been alot of change for me, however, God has been with me through it all, thankfully. Between moving in with my m.I.l almost two years ago, them my hubby going to work for awhile in North Dakota, then last September, his granny dying, and now, six months later, our dog dying, it’s been a toll. It’s been hard not to be anxious, but I have been praying and asking God where he wants us, what house does he have set up just for us?

I’ll be praying for everyone today and praying everyone had a wonderful rest of your day.

Loss

If anyone has ever heard the old cliche “you look/act like somebody killed your best friend”? I feel that way right now, because we did, my husband and I put our best friend down a week ago tomorrow. He had suffered in pain and agony way too long. But now, he’s chasing cats, playing with toys and just being a puppy in heaven. This past almost ten years of my life has been an interesting decade. It was my first time owning a dog, and my first time watching one die. Why is it so hard to lose a pet? I can’t quit thinking about him and crying. Even all his quirks and idiosyncrasies and agitations aren’t enough to make this any easier on us.
Poor hubby had to take a day off work to do this.

Marriage

Well good afternoon everyone. I’ve just spent the first half of today and a few hours last night at a very awesome marriage seminar hosted at our church by Dr. Lichi,a clinical psychologist and counselor. I even had friends go with us Fri night and this morning. I got a lot out of it. It was very interesting how to divorce proof our marriage. My hubby and I have been married going on five years, together almost ten years and we were high school sweethearts twenty five years ago. I’m proud of us. I’m also very proud of my two beautiful teenagers which will be graduating from high school this may. It’s amazing to know how very blessed I am. Because, 18yrs ago, I could safely say, I never thought I’d see this day. When I gave birth to my daughter on March 11,1997, @4:59am, I wasn’t sure what was going to happen seems how neither of us were supposed to survive. Gotta love preeclampsia in pregnancy. That is nothing to mess with.

I originally came to express my heartfelt gratitude for my hubby, and day that anyone having martial issues would definitely benefit from a marriage seminar and/or Christian counseling.

Bless you all on this now 40°day, whoohoo. Have and awesome rest of your day.

What will today bring?

Well, back to work and school for the hubs and kids. The kids had a snow day yesterday so we had them doing school like work online, and other odds and ends. We didn’t go anywhere till after nine p.m. due to our wonderful city and their snow plowing, or rather lateness of snow plowing. Hubby is a truck driver, and for anybody who knows the trucking industry, well you can imagine. He was told to be in yesterday around nine, then at 8:30a.m., he messages his dispatcher, to be told none other than, “don’t worry about coming in till tonight, there’s nothing for you to do.” Wooo hooo.  So he snow blowed the entire driveway, part of the church drive way, played video games, and just hung out with us.

Kids in bed, his lunch made, coffee done, ready to go drop him off at work, then he calls me at almost 11p.m. “don’t get to comfy, 8’m trying to figure out what they’re doing with me.” To late, i was already comfy and reading, but I stayed awake till he called me back, saying, “go ahead and go to bed, I’ll talk to you at 5a.m.” OK, 4:50a.m., I’m almost ready to call him, a little voice says check your messages, so I check my messages to find his, saying call me at six instead, lol lol. Cool, an extra hour, nope, just forty five mins, I had to go to the bathroom. So, the day has started and flown, now off to the grocery store, get a phone fixed and then to nap.

Lord give me strength to get my things done today and still get a nap in before the nightly rush starts and bless those who need the little extra today, amen.

Have a great day everybody.

Tests

Well, I’ve had my share of tests lately. I don’t know about anybody else, but I’m continuously asking God what I’m supposed to be learning from these tests. Between living with my mother in law, to having our finances take a crap, to having our schooling situation change, to knowing or rather trying to know what and where God wants me and what he wants me doing. These are all very frustrating tests, that I don’t know how to pass. Deep down, I’m trying hard to let go, and let God, cuz we all know, he’s got this.

Now, for any truckers and trucker wives know, when you drivers get tickets in those big rigs, it’s irritating, frustrating, and can be stressful. My driver got a ticket the other day, and so far, he and I are the only ones who know about it. I’m curious to know what this could do to our only income soon.

On top of all these tests, I’ve got health issues and doctors I’m dealing with. That right there, is the most stressful and frustrating thing to deal with. How does anybody get drs to listen and do something outside of their Dr box, when the patient continuously complains of major headaches, neck aches, and back issues?

I’m open to any suggestions, advice, something other than being big pharma’s guinea pig for another seven years. Praying everyone has a great day.

Momma drama

I am so thankful for my teenagers, however, I’m also so thankful for Monday-Friday until 3pm. I’m getting to that point in my life that I don’t do drama, and my sitbo daughter, does drama very well, that’s teenagerhood for ya I guess. The drama started when she attempted to do school work, midst of her classes are online, so she still has to keep her progress up, like she would her grades if she were doing actual classes, and her instructor inadvertently bumped up her progress level for spring break to be done, instead of the end of may. Wow, did she ever hit the roof, and then expected momma to flip her lid also. Nope, momma did no such thing….. I calmly told her to chill out, that I’d handle it in the morning. Well, I’ve got it covered tonight thankfully. Drama-done!

Is anybody else dealing with teenage drama, or elementary drama these days? Come, vent, leave tips, suggestions, advice, I’m sure somebody could use them tonight. Now that I’ve got the teenage drama dealt with, on to hubby’s issues. He’s a truck driver, and he got a ticket for trailing behind a vehicle to close, for about a minute. Needless to say, he wants me to keep it hush hush around mom, (we’re currently living with his mom right now) and he hasn’t told work yet. Lord please tell me there are other trucker wives out there dealing with stuff like this?

I look forward to hearing from you trucker wives, mom’s, and anybody else who’s interested in chatting. Have a great night everybody.

Whats_in_a_NameWhat’s in a name? A name is more than just something by which we are called; in a sense, it is our reputation. Did you know there are a multitude of names for God? Each name unique and powerful; the list is endless.

Join us on this exciting adventure through Scripture, where we will learn some amazing verses, talk about how those verses should affect our lives, and discuss some practical ways to make these names “real”.

“And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.” – John 1:14

In John, ‘the Word’ refers to Jesus Christ. John gives us a glimpse into the relationship the Father and Son had together before the Son came to earth. Christ existed with the Father before the world began. Christ helped with the creation…
