Eye opening

https://messengerinternational.org/blog/devotional/how-to-know-you-fear-god/

I know in my last post, I mentioned I’m a Christian. Well, lately, I’ve been dealing with some stuff that God has been dealing with me on and, reading this, wow. I’ve been wondering how much of the stuff I’m fighting him on lately, this explains the fallback I’ve been getting. God’s not directly causing my issues, but he’s surely not releasing me from them just yet either, until I fully surrender to him and fully obey God. Is anybody else having these thoughts? I’d like to hear them. Maybe we can work through them together.

Night all 🙋

I have returned

7-26-19 Fri

Good evening all, I know, I’ve been dormant for awhile and due to life and health issues, I just let things go. Well I’m one who deals with invisible illnesses and don’t worry too terribly much about trying to explain it to others, unless it’s family and sometimes even then, I ignore them. I know there’s probably many many of you with invisible illnesses that aren’t sure where to go to research, vent, or have anyone who understands. I do. Here is where you can vent and be where someone understands what it’s like to have issues, feel like crap, be cranky because something inside isn’t right and not be ignored or turned away.

I am a stay at home mom and wife. I’m happily married to my best friend, a trucker. Let me tell ya, he can be cranky with the rest of us. 😂😂 I’m also mom to four beautiful children, two of which have moved out on their own and two in, oh dare I say, high school! Teenagers, gotta love em. I’m a Jill of all trades, master of none, but I do my best with what I’ve been blessed with. Im also a Christian. I’m also a Trump supporter. Sorry for those that aren’t. 😓 I don’t judge here, you can still come visit, even if you don’t support Trump.

I’m an avid reader, although with being ill,I haven’t done much physical reading. I’m part of book groups on Facebook, and haven’t been real active there either. But being writing is what my passion is, I decided that I’d start utilizing my blog for what I originally started it for, writing. Also for posting my reading habits on, if you’re gonna write, you’ve gotta read too.

I’ll post again tomorrow and give a better detail of the most fun part of my health ordeal lately.

Have a great night all. Oh, and what I’m reading currently now.

The beauty of spiritual language

Good morning, it’s Thursday, almost officially the end of school for my kiddos, I just wanted to share something that touched me last night. Our church does Weds small group classes and ones of them I took was the beauty of spiritual language, this one was the second to the last one and I’m thinking I probably should post the rest of them here also, this one just spoke to my heart, in part to the issues I’ve been struggling with today.

Hopefully for the ones who are interested, you can see it and it speaks to you. Have a great day.

Comeback and book review

Good evening all. I’m back. I’m hoping to be back twice a week. I have set New Years goals, in my mind, however, we are now two weeks into the New Year, and I haven’t done anything to keep myself accountable to my goals for the year. So, I’ll list some of my tentative goals here and maybe, that will help me keep accountable.

New Years goals:

*reading

*writing/blogging

*journaling/bullet journaling

*crafting

*side hustles/work from home positions

*walking/exercise

Ok all, so this is my post for today, don’t forget to check out my brief book review for the first book of the year or rather second book of the year on goodreads-https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/33632473.

Have a great night.

New year

Good evening/morning all, it’s a new year and i’m planning on a better year than last, with that being said, i’m tentatively planning on writing as often as I can.

Currently, I’m in Oklahoma City with the hubby. For anybody who’s read this blog before, y’all will remember that i’m The proud wife of a trucker. So, being that said, I got blessed with getting wished a Happy New Years-twice 😊

I’ve officially been past the Hard Rock casino down in Oklahoma, very cool. I’ve seen a lot from the highway. I’ve seen countless number of abandoned vehicles on the sides of the roads between Illinois and here, wow!

I will definitely plan to write tomorrow, gettin ready for bed now.  Again, happy New Years and goodnight.

Why Many Introverts Are Drawn to Writing (and Are Really Good at It)

https://introvertdear.com/news/why-introverts-are-drawn-to-writing/…. I’m back, again, I know, so soon 😂😂. Yes, yes I am. I’m back, to share this on my blog, because I’m very different, and it’s taken me quite along time to see and finally understand, exactly why I’m different than, say my mother-in-law or, even my daughter. I just thought it had something to do with my past, but no, it’s because I’m a highly sensitive person and an introvert. I’ll be back later to follow through on my thoughts of being an introverted hsp. Goodnight folks.

A writing twist

Good evening all, it’s been a bit since I last posted here, although, a lots been going on since I last posted. School has resumed for my teenagers, an 8th grader and a freshman, wow, last two to put through school. However, my high schooler, has had his first experience with sexual harassment in school, thankfully the consequences didn’t go any farther than a write-up, a meeting with assistant principal and parents, and an educational, informational on what constitutes as appropriate and inappropriate touches, school wise.

That didn’t set well with parents when we first heard about it, but, again, thankfully it didn’t go very far, trouble wise. Onto better things, I’ve done a few book reviews, I’ll be posting them here shortly, and I’ve been part of an awesome book group on Facebook, actually quite a few of them, however, this one, has challenged me to write a short story, which has gone a bit longer than short, which is fine, but it’s my first exposure to having my writing out in the world, and it’s going to be part of a giveaway. But, that’s supposed to be a secret, however, I’ll be leaving a link here too my story, for feedback and input.

Hoping everybody’s having a great night.

I look forward to hearing what you all think of this. 😊

New writing

Good afternoon everyone, I know I haven’t written in about 2 months, it’s been a boring, but busy summer, hanging out w/my kids, trying to get some reading and crafting done. I’ve gotten a few books read, and two craft projects finished, and two more craft projects started. Today, however, I’m going to be posting what could be either a short story or chapters for a longer story.

“Mommy, why won’t you help me?” “He’s hurting me and you won’t help me.” “Baby girl, I’ll talk to him, we’ll get to the bottom of this together,ok, and he won’t hurt you again, ok?” ” Ooookay.” A very big sigh in return. In her bedroom, mom sits in sad silence, contemplating how to approach her fiance, based on the news her daughter just enlightened her with. She let the last conversation replay in her head. She was having a real hard time believing that her fiance was abusing her, their, 9yr. old daughter. He loved her so much, spent time with her like a dad is supposed to. Then the thought kept running through her head, he was spending much more time with Allie, her moods and attitude had changed over the past 3mos. “Oh, my goodness.” she thought. “How could I have ignored the signs?”

Sara sat silently thinking, hard, of what to do first. Does she talk to Mike first, does she pack up Allie and send her to her aunt and uncle’s 2hrs away? Think and pray, that’s all she was doing. “Lord, show me what to do, please. I don’t know what to do, how to go about this, I need help!” Moments later, as if she had the answer the whole time, or as if it was just handed to her, she proceeded to pack her most important papers and things up quickly, meticulously, but not in a manner that Mike would’ve noticed, she then went and started packing Allie some stuff to take with her in the same quick but meticulous manner. She then went and left Mike a note, packed hers and Allie’s stuff in her Jeep, did a final sweep of the house, got in the jeep, started it up, sat for a moment, realizing how hard this is, looking at everything that her and Mike built and shared together the past 12yrs., and then thought of everything he’s done to their daughter over the past 5yrs, right under her nose. She shook her head to shake herself out of reminiscing, and pulled out of the driveway heading out of town away from everything she’s known for the past 12yrs.

“Mom, where are we going?” Allie asked her mother moments later. “Well, honey, we’re heading to Aunt Jamie and Uncle Ray’s house for a little bit.” “Mom, you’re not mad at me are you?” Allie asked her mother, almost crying. Sara tapped the brakes, slowed down and started to pull over out of traffic, “No, baby, I’m not mad at you at all. Why would you think that I was mad at you sweetheart?” “Well, cuz, you haven’t said anything to me since we left home, you’ve seemed very distracted.” she said, with her head bowed slightly. “Honey, I”m mad at myself for not seeing or knowing anything like this was going on. Not mad at you baby.” Sara said quietly. “Allie, I’m so sorry for everything you’ve endured over the past five years and I don’t know what I can do or say to make it up to you.” “Mom, Allie said. “Yes dear,” Sara said as she was pulling back into traffic. “What’s gonna happen to dad?” “Dad, is, gonna probably go to jail for starters, toots.” she said, broken up, as she was trying to pay attention to not getting hit by all the fruitloops whizzing by her car, being it was after 3pm. “After he’s picked up by police, he’ll be questioned, he’ll probably also see a counselor or rather, psychiatrist, to assess if there’s a psychological reason for why he did this to you.” she responded again, with a touch of irritation in her voice, clearly towards traffic and not her daughter.

“Mommy, are they gonna think I made this all up, daddy touching me?” “Absolutely not baby.” she said, briefly whipping her head towards her daughter. “Why would you ask that?” Had someone tried discouraging Allie from her story? If they had, she wanted to know whom. And why. “Well, Allie said, June was talking to me yesterday, before we left, and was questioning me like I did something wrong. That’s why I asked if the police and counselors would think that I was making it up?” “Oh no, they won’t. They don’t take sexual abuse of little kids lightly.”

Book review

Ok, long time gone, I’m coming back, and I’m starting my return with a book review I’ve just gotten done with. It’s called cunning attraction by Christy Barritt and, her books are awesome. I’m getting a little bummed out knowing I’m coming to a close on a couple of her series. But, I can always restart them 😊,*does happy dance*. Anyhow, cunning attractions is #12 in the squeaky clean mystery series by Christy Barritt, I’ve been reading this series since #1 and she doesn’t disappoint on what Ms Gabby gets herself into helping others and getting justice.

I won’t give spoilers, however, but I will say, if you’re coming into this now, I’ll have to restart the series and start my reviews on her books, from the beginning. That’s how good her books are. She’s got, so far, 14 in this series, 6-7 in her random acts of murder series, which I’ll be reviewing here also. You can also find my reviews on Goodreads, and Amazon. I’ll have to be more diligent on reviewing my books read both here and on Goodreads and Amazon.

I hope if you decide to start any of Christy Barritt’s books, that you enjoy them and come share them with me here or even in Christy Barritt’s pages.

Have a great night guys.

Good afternoon, back again after a short hiatus. School is now back in session, woohoo, for us momma’s who were ready for kids to go back 😁😁. Now that school is back in session, I’ve been trying to get back into more reading, crafty work and writing.

For starters, I just finished don’t look behind you by Lois Duncan, a book I hadn’t read since I was in grade school, maybe middle school. It’s about a girl, April Corrigan and her family, average family, mom is an author, dad works for an airline company, turned drug ring spy. One day she’s an average teenager, dating a jock, plays tennis, normal teenager life, then one day, she gets called out of class, down to the counselor’s office. She has no idea what’s going on, until she gets to the office, and sees somebody she doesn’t normally see-Lorelie, her grandma. Walking out of school, she starts badgering her grandma for answers, who unfortunately, can’t answer them for her.

Upon returning home, realizing her brother Bram, has also been released from school early, they start badgering mom for answers. All mom and “Uncle Max”, can tell them is that due to unforeseen circumstances with the mission her dad is on, they are now in danger, the kids are told to pack so they can leave.

I won’t give any more spoilers, but it was a pretty quick read, I read half the book and listened to the other half. I will say, it doesn’t end like you’d hope it would. But I hope you enjoy this.

Have a great rest of your afternoon folks, it’s 78°here in sunny Michigan, so, I’m gonna enjoy reading and enjoying my September weather.
