Good evening, again I’m back, I’ve, as you’ve seen above, started another book 😁, by authors who do the website biblicalparenting.org. Really good stuff if you’re stick in a parenting rut and looking for good parenting suggestions, advice, etc. Another book I’ll be reading and mentioning here this month, sorry in July, will be Raising men, not boys by Mike Fabarez. You can also check out his Bible plan on youversion, with the same title.

Due in part to some issues arising with my own son, my only boy of four children, I realized I needed some Christian, biblical guidance. Don’t get me wrong, I’m still looking to God and his word for what I need along with other Christian, biblical resources. I may have made many mistakes with my elder two girls, but I don’t want to mess up these last 5-6yrs of my younger ones childhood, before adulthood sneaks up on me and they are then responsible for themselves and out in the big, bad world. Ok, enough rambling, I’m currently under the influence of narcotics due to being 24hrs post op from surgery yesterday, so I’m going to let you all go and say blessings to your night, see you all, next month. 😁

Interview with God

Check out this book on Goodreads: Interview with God https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/128335.Interview_with_God

Good evening, I’ve returned, gonna try and stay back. I’ve been dealing with issues and family stuff lately and yesterday, I had surgery, so I’m parked and reading. I’ve had some eye opening experiences, and realized that If I want to write, here was the perfect place to do it. I also realized, that if I want to become a better writer, here was also the place to do it. So, I’m starting now. I’ve seen the previews to the movie, interview with God, and checked out the book, not the same, but as I get thru the book, I’ll let you all know what I think of it.

A purpose driven life-day 2

Good late morning everyone. For anyone joining in, welcome. I’m posting day two of the book and the workbook for anyone who, again, may not have the book, or who doesn’t have the workbook. I’ll post again later my thoughts and what lessons I’m getting out of this. Have a great day.

Sorry for any marks you see currently on the pages, this book was gifted to me a long time ago so, some of them were someone else’s notes and some are verses to reference to later.

Bible study-day 1

Good evening, a new week, a new start. I’m starting a thread of sharing our Bible study, The purpose driven life-Rick Warren and it’s 40 days of community, the purpose driven life’s workbook here and sharing the link on our Facebook page. This is for people who want to still do this but, for whatever the reason, don’t have the book. It also includes the verses, and questions to ponder also. Being we’re just starting this today, this is a bit later than anticipated, but I’ll try to stay sharing them in the mornings.

I often have the same question running thru my head, what purpose am I here for? I’m hoping everybody who wants to join in will be able to do so and, for the ones without access to the book, I’m hoping this helps.

Beautiful day

https://plus.google.com/113103849243935147272/posts/5YSP99yKNMA?_utm_source=1-2-2…. Good morning everyone. It’s now Friday, I’ve somehow lost a day this week. My hubby was home Monday, like normal, and my children had an ice day-no school, and Tuesday, was some crazy weather here in West Michigan, on top of my vehicle having very little brakes, which, thanks to some awesome family from church, they transported my children back and forth to school most of this week. On top of needing and thankfully, getting my brakes fixed, at least on the front of my van, I was also able to gain a creature control company to come take a look and see exactly what has been scratching in our walls at night.

The creature control company came out, looked in our attic, found a ginormous nest, bird’s nest in my attic, that’s probably been there for a few years he thinks. He also planted a raccoon trap in my roof, till current, nothing caught, yet.

When you have folks like creature control come to your home, try and remember to ask exactly how they plan to bracket a raccoon trap to your roof and then consult your spouse, if they are available, otherwise, you may get blamed, or sound like your getting blamed for something, you had absolutely no clue to ask. I only say this, because, I just experienced this, oh and, did I mention, we are in need of a new roof anyhow? It’s rough being a stay at home mom.

In different news, I’ll be going back to my functional medicine specialist the end of the month, for a recheck on some tests and a chiropractic adjustment, which I’m in bad need of. Shoveling snow/ice here last weekend, with an already bad back, so not worth doing. It may have needed to be done, but definitely NOT by me. While I’ve sat and kinda been nursing my back, I’ve started and finished one of the new TV shows, only season 1, season two won’t be out till either, late this year, or the beginning of next year, 9-1-1. It doesn’t have a whole lot of raunchy scenes in it, it’s one of the better shows they’ve come out with. I like the cast of characters, I don’t prefer the preference of gay/lesbian marriages, but, I guess it’s one of the pro/con of new shows and whether you’ll like it or not. I like the engagement of the characters opening up and being human, not just hiding behind their jobs/careers, pretending to be all “hunky dory”. I also like the premise of the show, emergency operators. They’ve had so many cop, crime, court, paramedic, ER shows, they finally came out with one, outside of panic 911, an emergency operator response show.

On that note, it’s actually hit 59° here today and sunny, I’m wearing a sundress and enjoying the weather. I’ve got projects and pattern books I’m working on that I’ll share with you later.

Have a great night and prayers and blessings to you all.

I’m back, again. I have been trying to get back into my normal routine after being on momcation with my hubby, so, that has unfortunately, kept me away. Weather here in West Michigan isn’t very pleasant, so my kiddos and I are watching our church service online. It’s a very good message, a new series starting today called, “what’s your why?” I will share the link at the end for anybody who’s interested.

I have not done a whole lot of reading this week, but I’ve done quite a bit of crafting this week. I’m almost done with baby hats and baby booties for a friend of mine, having her first baby. Oh, correction, I’ve done a lot of listening to audiobooks, ones I love, it’s a four book series, I’ve probably mentioned it here before, called, elite guardian series by Lynette Eason. I’ve also started re listening to driven by eternity by John Bevere. I highly recommend both of them.

I am still on my anti inflammatory diet…. My anti inflammatory diet anyhow, consists of fruits, veggies, chicken, fresh/frozen fish, wild caught meat, no dairy, no citrus, no condiments except mustard, evoo(extra virgin olive oil), Apple cider vinegar, nuts and if course, my daily mantra of supplements that is helping, slowly, to heal my guts from the inside out….

It was really rough the first two weeks. This is my fourth week of this diet, and I’m on this diet for at least, another month. I’m re introducing eggs, hallelujah…😁😁😁😁, they do just fine with me. For anybody who’s got gut issues and having to eliminate things or be placed on a different diet, I totally sympathize with you.

Now, last but not least, here is the link to our church service, if it doesn’t play, check it tomorrow and it should play…https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=10155556824958041&id=363471488040.

Have a great rest of your weekend, and I’ll catch ya later this week.

Diet update

Another thing I wanted to share with you all, since I’ve been put on healing probiotics, medical food, digestease and now garlic pills, an anti inflammatory diet, and I’ve been walking, yoga and Pilates,I can’t verify right now how much weight I’ve lost, but I know, I can fit intoa few pair of my jeans from almost three years ago. These last ten years have been brutal to my health and well being. An auto accident ten years ago started, or re started most everything from gut issues, back and neck issues and major weight gain. Since I’ve been seeing a holistic functional medicine specialist, hopefully, I can figure out exactly what’s up with my back and neck.

I’ll come back to those issues and some God learned lessons tomorrow. Again, have a wonderful night.
